Wedding day Preparation

____________________________

Preparing your skin for your wedding day involves a combination of skincare treatments and beauty rituals to ensure you look and feel your best.

Here's a comprehensive guide:

1. Skincare Routine:

  • Start early: Begin a consistent skincare routine several months before your wedding day to address any skin concerns and achieve a radiant complexion.

  • Cleanse, tone, and hydrate: Stick to a daily skincare routine that includes cleansing, toning, and hydrating to keep your skin clean and balanced. I highly recommend starting on a Medical Grade Skincare regimen.

  • Exfoliate regularly: Incorporate regular exfoliation into your routine to remove dead skin cells and reveal smoother, brighter skin. I recommend ZO Skin Health Exfoliating Polish once a day.

  • Treat specific concerns: If you have specific skin concerns such as acne, hyperpigmentation, or dryness, consider incorporating targeted treatments such as serums or masks into your routine.

2. Facials:

  • Schedule regular facials leading up to your wedding day to deep clean pores, hydrate the skin, and address specific concerns. I recommend the Ultimate Hydrafacial at Cecilia Skin Co.

  • Consider treatments like microneedling, lasers or chemical peels for more intensive exfoliation and skin renewal.

3. Botox & Fillers

  • Botox takes 14 days to fully kick in and you may need touch ups at the 2-3 week mark. It is recommended to book your treatment no later than 4 weeks prior to your wedding to allow full time to kick in and for touch ups. It is also recommended to get at least one treatment prior to your wedding treatment to be able to perfect your dosage. *please take into account that treatments must be done no sooner than 12 weeks apart

  • Ensure that you plan your filler appointment at least 6 weeks prior to the wedding to allow time for complete healing and touch ups if neccessary.

4. Spray Tan:

  • If you choose to get a spray tan for a sun-kissed glow, schedule it 2-3 days before your wedding to allow the color to fully develop and any potential touch-ups to be made.

  • Do a trial run beforehand to ensure you're happy with the color and application technique.

5. Waxing and Hair Removal:

  • Schedule waxing appointments for areas like brows, upper lip or full face, at least a week before your wedding to ensure smooth, hair-free skin. I recommend the Ultimate Hydrafacial which includes dermaplaning so no waxing is neccessary. *please note that over time waxing can stretch/damage the skin and it is not approved in combination of the use of Medical Grade Skincare

  • Avoid waxing or any hair removal treatments within a few days of your wedding to prevent redness or irritation.

6. Hydration and Nutrition:

  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water/healthy fluids to keep your skin plump and reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles.

  • Eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats to nourish your skin from the inside out.

7. Stress Management:

  • Practice stress-relieving activities such as yoga, meditation, or deep breathing exercises to help you relax and keep your skin glowing.

  • Get plenty of rest in the days leading up to your wedding to prevent dark circles and puffiness around the eyes.

By following these steps and planning ahead, you can ensure that your skin is glowing and radiant on your wedding day, allowing you to look and feel your best as you celebrate this special occasion!
